Taromeo Camp Ovens Observatory and Lunch Tour

Sunday 27th July

Chris Thomas has built this observatory over the past 18 months. He has a marvelous a Roll-Off Roof Observatory housing a beautiful ED103SWT F7 Vixen telescope. Just perfect for those crystal clear nights to sit and observe or image the night away.

This new observatory is located 26km north of Colinton and about 40km north of Camp Duckadang. It is perfectly situated for a lunch time visit on the way home or a day activity during your epic 9-night stay at the QLD Astrofest.

Chris has run his Camp Oven business for many years catering for up to 60 guests at a time. Lunch will be a delicious Camp Oven Roast meal with a dessert, served in authentic Aussie Style with damper and billy tea or coffee.

The setting has lovely rural views with a treasure trove of wildlife and plants in the surrounding country gardens.
